I was adopted from Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Washington DC. I gained my respect for Cannabis when I was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 21. I had surgery immediately and underwent chemotherapy while going to school full time at The University of Vermont. Cannabis was the only thing that regulated my nausea even with all the fancy anti-nausea prescription drugs. After this brush with death, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. After pursuing my wildlife photography dream, I applied to business school in San Francisco, and moved to California in the summer of 2012. After obtaining my MBA in Design Strategy, I fine tuned my entrepreneurial skills by immersing myself in Silicon Valley. I found my calling at the 2015 NorCal High Times Medical Cannabis Cup. You could call this my "aha moment". I realized that this made me happy and that I wanted to be involved in this industry for the rest of my life. California Cannabis is a very special and unique culture and I am honored to be part of it.
